Social activities for severely handicapped children

Special activities include parties as well as outdoor trips, many via ambulance transport, accompanied by medical personnel and volunteer soldiers, bringing light and happiness into the pain-filled lives of suffering children who otherwise would never be able to enjoy an outing.

ORLY’S STORY
“I, together with a group of fellow IDF soldiers, volunteered to chaperone Baruch U’Marpeh’s severely handicapped children on an outing to Jerusalem’s Biblical Zoo. Getting there was quite an operation; a fleet of the organization’s special ambulances performed the Herculean feat. I can’t describe how moved we were to witness the children’s excitement. They were crying for joy and we, too, wept with them. We watched their wide-eyed awe as they took in the sights and sounds, while filling their lungs with fresh air. It was an unforgettable experience for these children – and for us. My admiration for this remarkable organization knows no bounds!”
